This isn’t what I meant to post today, so I may be back later. The vixen was sleeping on the wall again. Being slightly tired of taking pictures of her from the window I went outside. She woke up and watched me. She still looked pretty sleepy.
I hung about and we watched each other. She decided I was disturbing her peace, so she climbed off the wall into the garden the other side. I took a picture of he face in profile just before she disappeared.
I’m feeling quite guilty for disturbing her.

in that last line, you sound like someone who lives with a cat! >:-D
whew! forgiving just like the best cats! or is that forgetful? Lethe-ish!
I think I’d just stopped annoying her…
<:-D
That’s pretty awesome – to have a fox sleeping right there!
Twenty years ago, I used to get excited about seeing a fox in the street. Now it’s an everyday occurrence. The cubs that have been born in this environment are so used to humans being close by that they have little or no fear of us.
Stupendous. Feel guilty as you like, just keep taking those pix!
Wow! Just wow!
I’ll tell her!
Lovely.
(did you see the fox in my post?

You too. I’m going to head for bed, but shall try to catch up tomorrow.
That profile shot is marvelous……she really loves the wall doesn’t she…..
Pam
It’s a good position. She can see all around, but the wall is high enough to keep her safe. She has a den close by.
I wonder if she is feeling under the weather? I know you say it is not unusual for them to hang around there but it is something to see them. They are so skittish here. Her coat looks like that of an older fox, sort of like when a cat’s fur gets as it ages. We have had our share of late teen kitties. At any rate she sure thinks that wall belongs to her.
I don’t think so. This has been a favourite spot for foxes to lie for quite a while. i think she’s got bed fur, but going by sonny’s appearance I shouldn’t be surprised if the relentless wet weather we’ve been having has given her a less than pristine appearance.
It is still pretty impressive and a treat to see her close up Isobel.
I think you’ll enjoy this site. http://www.secretworld.org/babies_orphans.html they do fantastic work, and they have published amazing photographs.
Oh My How what an absolute gorgeous animal! Thanjs for sharing this~ BB
I watched her come back this morning. Definitely no cubs to greet her. And where is Mr Fox? I haven’t seen him recently. We thought the foxes had left, but then they reappeared. I am wondering of they had the cubs elsewhere and were cleared out.
It must be wonderful to spend these times with her.
I certainly enjoy watching her, but I wish she wouldn’t leave the remains of fast food takeaways in the garden!
