We don’t get much snow in London, but today it has been snowing since breakfast time.
I prefer looking at it to being in it, but I have to admit it lifts the spirits in these deep winter days.
I didn’t go very far from home. Now I am wishing I had taken myself off to the City and photographed it before the workers trample it tomorrow.

I hate the depths of winter too but my goodness the snow makes it all look soooo beautiful..Love the lamp pic – sooo Narnia!
Narnia, south London, not a lot of difference really….
You are sooooooo funny. Looks pretty but I bet it makes getting around tough
Easier than I thought. For once the roads are gritted.
Only that bit Isobel… but I wonder if you looked in the telephone directory whether you’d find a Mr Tumnus?
Oh the Southwark Tumnuses you mean?
That’ll be the Gloucestershire branch. I hear they have a good tailor.
Yes, Darrel featured an image of his shop in his Snowy Gloucester blog recently!
Is Darrel a tailor? We have Threadneedleman…
The Tailor of Gloucester shop (Beatrix Potter) sorry, Isobel. A Glawster reference. Darrel’s an author.
Got the Potter ref, actually I started it, didn’t I, but didn’t know there was actually a shop in Gloucs.
It’s the very one in the Tailor of Gloucester book, next to a stone archway through to the Cathedral. Very pretty.
Must get to Gloucester one of these days…
Let me know if you’re coming!
I prefer looking at it too and I want it to go away as fast as possible. Nice lovely flurry of snow then all gone, nice flurry of snow and then gone!
It was lovely and sunny today, so much has gone. Now a lot of ice. I got some more pix, but too late to downlaod tonight. More snow later this week I hear…
Beautiful snow shots. I love a fresh snowfall, as it is clinging to everything.
Yes, it is pretty.
where’s the winter ninja?! <:-D tiptoeing through the snow….
Outside at the minute, but I am about to get him in again.
That is the problem. I wanted to go & take photos but it meant going out!! These are lovely! I like the close ups!
Thanks Julia. What’s happened to your gravatar?
I briefly considered going to the City yesterday. But the couch, a blanket, and a book talked me into staying in. I did enjoy the views from my flat.
Beautiful when freshly fallen…..
Pam
There’s a lovely clear fox print on the gate post. If it’s still there tomorrow I’ll take a photo.
NO sunshine here for days… flat light so my photographs of the snow are rather flat . You were lucky to have some sunlight today.
I know what you mean. Trouble is the sun makes it melt…
can’t have it all ways!
It’d be nice though…
