Two pictures

I took these two pictures today in London. One is by the river near the mouth of St Saviour’s Dock in SE16, close to Jacob’s island, the notorious area described by Dickens in Oliver Twist. The other is in our garden, not described by Dickens at all. Though he does mention the area in one of his novels.

    • We see them a lot in the daytime too. I’m not sure why this one is sleeping on our wall. Maybe the cubs are getting a bit boisterous in the den these days. Or it may be that the family has been displaced because there were foxes living on the site of a demolished house and now the develops have got to work.

  1. I’m starting to feel sorry for the duck. No one seems interested in him. Janh has managed to comment directly on the fox picture. I do hope Pseu, with her love of dreadful puns, will at least enjoy the title.

I do and I did. (It was the word ‘dreadful’ that stung…

    😉
