One Lovely Blog Award – Pass It On

Here are my nominations. The rules say the blogs have to be ones I’ve only recently discovered, which helped a bit. But the trouble is I’ve recently discovered loads of blogs I have liked.
So this list is far from scientific or a definitive list of new blogs I enjoy, but it’ll have to do for a start…

I’ve just left a comment and a link on everyone’s pages as I can’t get the links to go live today. I feel like Eamon Andrews!

Thank you Aurora, and to everyone above. Congrats!

Seven Things About Me

1. Raspberries are one of my favourite fruits
2. In my dreams, I am a sprinter, or sometimes a marathon runner
3. I cannot get the sofa out of the sitting room without it getting wedged in the doorway
4. I have twenty-two letters in my name
5. If I wear high heels I wobble and look like Dick Emery in drag
6. Exiles on Main Street is my favourite Stones album
7. I cannot imagine what my life would have been like had I never learned to read.

When I worked out how to upload the award itself I’ll put it here too to be copied.

What you have to do now:

The Rules:
1. Thank the person who shared the award with you by linking back to them in your post.
2. Pass this award to at least 15 recently discovered blogs and let them know that you included them in your blog post.
3. List 7 things about yourself.

  1. Thanks so much:-) This is another reason why I love blogging! Lets not forget that you have received this award in the first place because of your wonderful contribution and your fantastic blog! I am honored you mentioned with all these great blogs 🙂 keep up the great work my friend.. And thanks for always stopping by my blog..

  2. Oh no, now if you click, they lead back here… time to check out the html, except I need to go to bed. Sorry folks.

11.20 I think I’ve done it. I can go to bed tired but happy, knowing I, an arts graduate, have untangled the codes…

  3. congratulations everyone! oh wow, i never expected to be considered for an award so early on in my blogging journey. am thrilled, grateful and honoured to have my newbie blog included in this great list of bloggers, some of whom i have never heard of before, such as “the Lantern” by Meanderer, and whose work i now have a chance to peruse. Brilliant!
the only thing is, while i recognize what a great honour this is – and i feel like i am sounding like an ungrateful Schlamp by saying this – i actually do not accept awards. somewhere in the very depths of my ‘about’ page, behind the lens, there is a short blurb about that. please note that i am touched, and appreciate this kind gesture, even as i am declining it. it is not just that i do not yet even know 15 new bloggers or and i am happy to provide 7 details about me. so there it is. thanks for your understanding.
i decided to make my request on this a bit more visible for future reference. thank you again for your kind vote of confidence, Isobel. Much appreciated! I look forward to visiting here again soon. Happy Blogging all!

    • I am glad you are wowed, and I do apologise for not reading your Behind the Lens page more carefully. When I have evolved a bit further, who knows, i may take the same stance? At the moment I’m enjoying it! Hope you enjoy the other pages as much as I do.

      • thanks for your understanding Isobel. congrats on receiving the award yourself! forgot to say that in the midst of all the chagrin at potentially coming across like a thankless wet blanket. i really was quite honoured. so, good on you, and enjoy your award as well! cheers!
and yes, i do look forward to checking out all the other awardees, too. have been very impressed with what i have seen so far. it is amazing how many wonderful blogs there are – and i would have never found most of the above if you had not posted them or included me in the notification, so thank you again. happy blogging!

  4. Hi Isobel! Sam was quite excited when we opened your notification regarding the award and having been chosen as one of your top 15 new blog buddies. We will be following the associated instructions in Sam’s blog this morning….only problem will be coming up with 15 newly discovered blogs – I might be able to list five but that’s about it! I suppose it’s the thought that counts though – eh? We enjoy your blog immensely and are glad you have fun with Sam’s as well.

    • I am glad. It may be that now you are on the alert you’ll find that there are more and blogs you visit and like. Certainly, I had to call a moratorium, as I like looking at the photo pages and am constantly finding things to admire there.
I shall have to widen my tag search.
Though i have also found others by clicking on the blogrolls of pages I like. One blog I found recently that i didn’t include, is whatImeant2say which I enjoy immensely.
I am very delighted to learn that sophiescott has also been given an award. As we have been following each others pages for about eighteen months now, she did not fall into the ‘new’ category.
      She also has a ginger cat… 🙂

  5. Isobel, I was so happy and honoured that you selected my blog to be on your list. While I am not a seeker of awards I never realized how thrilled I would be to get one. It did take me a while to figure out who to pick but I have finally posted a list of new, to me, and interesting sites. Again a very, very big thank you.

  6. 5 is so funnnyyyy and 7, oh how I relate! Thank you for having some fun with this, looking forward to reading all the blogs you mention as soon as I can 🙂

  7. Thank you very much for including me in your list. Somehow I managed to be that slow in replying to you. I feel very honored and I’m sure Usyaka shares the feeling! 🙂
