It’s Arrived!

Among the post today a hand written envelope. A rare enough occurrence to get me wondering.

Then I realised; it was my first Christmas card of the season.

Thank-you Vicky! It’s lovely.

This is my first Christmas with shutters. Usually I put the cards on the sills, but that’s going to be a problem. Not that they stayed there long.

If you used to follow my blog on MyT you might just remember this.

  1. I’ve received two. One from Australia and one from a friend who used to have her cards written by the end of January (ok, I may jest, but not by much – she certainly bought most of her presents in the January sales).

Cards are not safe with cats – and Cat’s demolition demonstration is a classic 😀

  2. I’m slowly getting my cards written but haven’t yet send any out…nor received any! I look forward to catching up with friends and family and seeing all the fanciful and beautiful cards though every year. That first one received is always kind of special – a launching pad for the rest of the season!

  3. It’s the official 1st day of December! Christmas cards are just the beginning of great things to come…. Happy holidays!

    • I send far fewer cards than I used to. I make donations to charities instead, but it is a good opportunity to catch on news with people I don’t see so often.
Cat was a boy of strong opinions and decisive actions. I love the paw movement when he evidently decides the cards have got to go.
