Autumn in South London

When you think of cities, it is usually buildings, shops, people that come to mind. But even in this most urban of environments there is growth of the green and more colourful kind.

A small park in front of Victorian flats softens their outline.

The spots of colour are welcome as the year draws to a close.

As the trees lose their leaves, summer structures surprisingly close to homes and pavements become clear.

  1. Such a lovely post this morning Isobel to start my day! I love the bird nests that start to show up in our trees now. CH and I took a walk yesterday and only found one but there will be more. Hoping to find an Oriole or Tanager nest.
