I’ve been posting and running all this week, and tonight is no exception. At some point I shall catch up, and I am looking forward to seeing the interpretations for this theme.
Here in London it is definitely winter. Cold, mostly blue skies, but some white ones as in this picture which was mid afternoon today, the light starting to seep out of the sky. Snow promises from not too far away. It is easy to imagine this as a shard of ice.
Half an hour later, the setting sun lit up this building, giving it a touch of glamour at odds with its design.
oooh, I can feel the snow coming in that white sky….
Hopefully not for a few days. I am going to be outside a lot…

They are perfect photos for the wordpress snow fall!
Just realised I can’t see the snow on the iPad..
That’s a classic one of the Shard, Isobel!
Thanks Kate. I am a bit busy tonight as you can imagine!
lol ‘cold shard’ very nice. I am pleased to hear there are at least blue skis even if it is cold. I am in Australia at the moment but heading back to London in Jan….scared of the cold
Blue skis I can’t comment on, but blue skies, yes. 🙂
This is definitely your best of the Shard. I love the contrast of the bare tree in front.
Do you think so? Well, as you are my greatest Shard aficionado I shall thank you for that. 🙂
I have been called a few things in my day, but….. This made me laugh out loud.

Just a message to those who leave pingbacks. It would be nice if you said something too! This doesn’t entice me to visit your page.
That cold shard shot is awesome… Beautiful photos all in all. 🙂
Beautiful London…
Thanks 🙂
