The Shard isn’t the only tall building in London.
Here are two in the City which i photographed this afternoon.
By City standards Lloyd’s, which was built between 1978 and 1986, is positively geriatric. It is by Richard Rogers and apart from being ridiculously photogenic is one of my favourite buildings in the City combining playfulness, grace and functionality. The Prawn on the left is by Norman Foster. The Prawn is growing on me, but it isn’t quite in the same league as Lloyd’s.
