Funnily enough, I know the illuminations featured in this week’s challenge. They are not far from the subject of my photograph.
If you follow my page, you know that I have taken many many pictures of the Shard, which is Europe’s tallest building and beside London Bridge. It is our newest landmark. Illuminated at night, it stands out on the skyline.
I took this photograph from Union Street which runs parallel to Southwark Street. The place I took the picture from is almost directly in line with the lights featured in the Daily Post.
I am going up the Shard in a couple of weeks. I hope it’s not misty then or we shan’t see anything!

can’t wait for the photos from the top
Patience, Jo, patience!
Not one of my strongest characteristics Isobel

Somehow, That doesn’t surprise me!

Lovely. Soon you will have enough photos to publish a book! π Keep them coming.
I think of you every time I post a picture of the Shard!
You have a penchant for this building don’t you? I do hope you get a great visit!
Someday, Lord willing, I’ll get to visit England.
Where are you?
on the west coast of the U.S.
I’d recommend early December for a visit. It is often cold but bright then, and so many people are shopping you can visit popular places without all the crowds.
Well, Lord willing we’ll make it over there someday. I’d love to see it, and also Scotland and Ireland.

Looks like the building is floating and being taken away by the clouds. π
