Spting has ceased being the present and moved into the future. Today has been cold and grey with flurries of snow and an icy wind. I was at work all day, fortunately inside, but in a building where the outside was a bit too close for comfort in some places.
I took these three photos eleven days ago. Hard to believe today, but they remind me that blue skies and fresh blossom will soon cover the streets.

I am going to curl up on the sofa now and read the paper. Have a lovely evening.
Great post with the optimism we need at the moment!!
The news stories are pretty depressing aren’t they? I am appalled by the sanctions imposed on job seekers. How can these targets help at all? They just the create more problems and push the responsibility to cleaning up and helping elsewhere.
these are lovely images. blue sky and blossoms – a promise of what is yet to be.
do stay warm, and enjoy your evening!
Thanks, I did, and had a lovely early night.
Hmmm, would you like me to take some pictures of pretty flowers out in my garden? Oh, oops, that probably isn’t going to lighten your day now – sorry, tee hee
W have some pretty flowers. Poor things they were as deceived as we were. But the skies are greyish white and the light is leaden. The forecast looks hopeful for the end of the week. Fingers crossed!

We have escaped the snowdrifts, but not the bitter wind over here. I’ve got a rotten cold and cough so I’ve been hiding behind the parapet. Utterly miserable for late March.
Isn’t it Pet Remembrance Day tomoro?
I’ll be there.
Snow seemed to be settling earlier, but has now stopped. I have a horrid cold too, so a day indoors reading yesterday’s paper and doing paperwork. Yes, it is pet remembrance today. Will post later this morning. Get well soon.

Spring has been elusive. I liked your photos and post today! We are sooo ready for the blossoms.
It is all so up and down. The other week I was sitting in the garden reading, now it is freezing cold. This time last year we had summer in March followed by cold winds and rain in May and June. Two years ago I was playing with my friend’s cat in her garden in sunshine, getting some feline therapy a week after Cat’s death.
Certainly doesn’t feel like Palm Sunday.
Spring has lost its way getting here too…..snow flurries tonight….I decided to do a remembrance post for Sunday as well Isobel…..as did another friend. Hope your remembrance day is warm with memories…..
Hugs, Pam
Great, Pam. I am going to get some lunch now, but i’ll have a look later. Would you like to put a link in a comments box on my latest post?
Sure Isobel…..thanks for that….please feel free to do that here too……
Hugs, Pam
I need your collage of Spring to get me thru this snowstorm!!

It was a cold weekend. Miles refused to go on a walk yesterday. Poor little guy. The cold really gets to him and I think he has the winter blues.
I don’t blame him. Yesterday was bitterly cold, mainly because of the wind. I didn’t want to go out either.
It was a little better today, but not much. I see on your twitter board there’s a fire. I hope it isn’t bad.
It feels much better to me today without that cold cold wind. The fire is awful, raging in the Old Town Hall by the library and the precious collection of the Cuming Museum now housed there is threatened. Clouds of smoke, flames shooting out of the roof, eight fire engines, helicopters circling. A disaster. Follow @se17 or @se1 on twitter and you’ll get updates.
Sounds awful. I’m following it now. I hope they put it out soon.
Not looking good
It seems to be under control. I walked by it about two and a half hours ago. There were flames leaping from the roof. Horrific.
