Our warm weather continues. The sky today was a glorious blue. Sitting outside a pub this evening I lloked up at the pub sign and took this picture.
The barman saw me and came to tell us a story about George IV. The light on the houses was beautiful, sun and shade.
Even here, where there was a fire on Saturday night, and the council hoarding of hateful pink normally depresses me, there was a brash beauty. The buildings are under threat. The local society wants them retained and used.
These three windows caught my eye when I was nearly home.

Tree Cat
And MasterB was wild in the cherry tree.
What are your feelings about those buildings?
MasterB looks like quite the hunter up in that tree. What was he trying to get?
The top…
Pink…. interesting color for boarded up windows! MasterB looks quite happy to be up in that tree spying on the passersby.
Pam
He was being a fierce hunting sort of cat!
Thanks for the pub sign – the London (and British) pub signs hold a special “interest” for me. London pubs are such great places – especially those with gardens in the back.
This one has a space at the front, but it is in a square and you can take your drinks and sit in the space in the middle. Lots of locals playing boules and children enjoying cricket last night.
Love the shot of the three windows with the flowers!
It works doesn’t it. It just around the corner.
