The Coronavirus Diaries, 27th February 2022, War

What do you do when you are on the brink of world war?

How do you react when your prime minister makes a speech with grand sounding phrases which don’t actually say anything?

How do you feel when you see people like yourself making Molotov cocktails to defend their city from an aggressor who wants to change the way they live, the way they think?

What is your reaction when your foreign secretary poses with an Ukrainian flag and a Union flag?

How do you feel when you walk in sunshine on a quiet day in London knowing Putin is threatening nuclear war and people not so very far away are fighting for their lives, their homes, their liberty?

How do you feel when you read of families who want to leave the war zone been sent from one place to another, asked for details of finances and sponsorship when their very existence is in danger?

How do you feel when you read that Nigel Farage has said that Vladimir Putin is the politician he admires most?

What do you do? How do you feel? What can you do?

  1. How unbelievable…!
I feel deep pain, big impotence, great incredulity, huge despair and enormous yearning to help ukrainians as much as I can.
