The Coronavirus Diaries, 3rd September 2022: Spam

I am not talking about the processed meat people buy in cans, immortalised by a song on Monty Python’s Flying Circus, but the weird and wonderful things messages, probably posted by bots, you find in the filtered, spam box. Though apparently that junk spam is named after the Monty Python sketch.

This is one of my favourites. Today it was in reply to a post which was a single photograph, no text at all.

Next time I read a blog, I hope that it does not disappoint me just as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I truly thought you’d have something helpful to say. All I hear is a bunch of moaning about something you could possibly fix if you were not too busy seeking attention.

Wonderful. It makes me laugh where the ones with overtly pornographic text make me shudder.

In case you don’t know the Spam song, or how the sketch gave rise to the term spam when referring to junk mail this should help. Enjoy.
