I was in Salisbury a couple of days ago, at the cathedral. This is the ceiling of Edmund Audley’s chantry chapel from the early sixteenth century. It’s like the ceiling at King’s College Chapel at Cambridge University, but in miniature.
And beautiful.

It’s exquisite. Last few times I’ve been to Salisbury I haven’t been inside the cathedral, I need to put that right!
It is a great place, dog friendly too; there’s a very good café, and you can watch the Peregrine falcon’s nest on the webcam. Later in the summer the RSPB will probably be outside with strong telescopes to watch when the chick fledges.
