It Was Also a Good day

I don’t want to sound smug, but I have had more than one good day which would suit the current photo challenge “Today Was a Good Day.” And the photos to prove it.

  1. The fish photo is excellent, Isobel, and the photos of ducks, the swan and the grebe bring back lovely memories of our life on the river.

  2. I like “I spy” even if the composition isn’t perfect. There’s a cat trying very hard to act like a predator. Or at least having a very large moment in his own head about what he might do if he ever got around to it. And the ginger is just brilliant – is MasterB always in such edible coloration? Just the colours not the cat.

    • I like that one too. I don’t know what he had spotted, maybe a coot or moorhen. He doesn’t usually go into hunting postures for ducks or swans.
When the light strikes his coat on a sunny day it is the most glorious colour. He becomes several watts brighter than usual.

  3. Helloooo Isobel! Looks gorgeous! What weather and wildlife!! Great-crested grebe and that’s a roach, I think. Your boat looks really cosy 🙂 Glad you are having a fab time.

    • Helloooo to you too! it was great weather. I wonder if the GCG was one of the chicks that hatched by my boat last year. I too think the fish is a roach, but there seem a lot of fish that look simialr in the *fish* book. I left in sunshine on sunday, and drove home in rain. It was a very lucky weekend weatherwise.

      • It reminds me of when we lived in Washington, DC and I used to sit on the bow of our boat looking for junk to dodge in low tide to get back in the marina. I always loved riding on the front deck. That picture brought back some great memories. Something about that sleek nose out there with the railings and it takes your view right on out in front of you… and the sound of the water as you cut right through it.
